    Second person?

    Hello,

I was just thinking lately of maybe having a second guy to help out with webdesign.

I am studying webdesign at college at the moment, and will hopefully be completeing all the levels (1, 2 and 3) in due course.

Anyone here who is good at the coding side of webdesign? Perhaps php, css, etc.

I can show you a few websites I have made myself, but as I am only on level 1, we haven't started creating cascading style sheets yet. I will have finished level 1 before christmas and will be starting level 2 next year. (Level 2 and level 3 is a lot more advanced).

    Thanks for your time.

Is this helping you personally with web design or helping you design websites for clients.

    For clients really.

Profits can be split and prices can be negotiated.

    Thanks,

hate to get in the way of financial stuff however.

CSS really isn't that difficult to learn, specially the basics, once you have them down pat your pretty much set for everything.

Have a search online, you will find a ton of tutorials for learning the basics of CSS, PHP is not too much more difficult, I can't say i'm proficient at it however, but a good book on the subject will set you on your way..

It is highly unlikely, though not completely out of the question, that your school is blocking access to your site. Chances are that there is some problem with the connection between your computer (at school) and your server. The first thing to do is to check the network status page (http://www.jaguarpc.com/support/status.php) to see if there is a problem with your server. At the time of this posting all servers appear to be up and running, but it is possible that yours was down when you tried to access your site.

If the network status page says everything is OK, try doing a traceroute. This basically checks all the routers (hops) between you and the server and reports how long it takes to reach each one. If you see any numbers that are substantially higher than the rest it may indicate a network problem at that hop. Ditto for if you see any "*" characters in place of numbers (that means that the connection timed out before the router reponded. Do do a traceroute, open a command window on your computer and type tracert (windows) or traceroute (most other systems) followed by the name of the server or site you want to test:

    Code:
    tracert www.mydomain.com
    traceroute myserver.nocdirect.com
If neither of the above is conclusive, open a support ticket. Support will probably want to see the results of the trace, so it is best to copy and paste them into the ticket.
