This is a discussion on ssh and enginsite datafreeway in the Open Discussion & Chit-chat forum
I'm not sure if I've suggest this software here yet but EnginSite Datafreeway is much better than vi or pico's interface and productivity department. http://www.enginsite.com/ssh-webdav-ftp-sftp-client.htm ...

    Hmmm NOT FOR $100!!!

I just downloaded it, thought it was free, until it asked for a serial key... Did a bit of searching, and it costs 100 bucks!

It's not worth that kind of money!

If the automobile had followed the same development cycle as the computer, a Rolls-Royce today would cost $100, get a million miles to the gallon, and explode once every few weeks.

My scripts never have bugs. They just develop random features.

WinsSCP is the tool of choice here! Being an old DOS 5.x user with Norton Commander - WinSCP fits my way of doing things. NEVER been much of a windows explorer fan and only use it while working on other people's computers.

WinSCP is the cats meow! or what ever that cliche is?

    cats meow huh Frank?

Although that so called 'cliche' doesnt make much since, I do agree that WinSCP is awesome...

Hmm maybe one of the reasons I hate Plesk so much is it resembles that gosh awful ugly Windows Exploder interface!

I'm a big fan of WinSCP and the Norton Commander interface, too, but for different reasons. For me it resembles the old WS_FTP LE software that I used for years and years.

$100? Where did you see that. I just registered my free ware version off the website.

I am not sure! But I downloaded (from the free link) the datafreeway and when I installed and opened it, it asked me for a registration key... I hit the link to get one, and it wanted payment of 100 dollars!

The license says it is free for personal and/or university use only. Maybe, depending on how you answered the questions on the registration form, it determined that you were a commercial user and decided to make you pay...

I registered saying that I work for a university (I do) and that I'd be using it for "personal education" (I am) and it sent me a free registration key.
