Well, I don't know what the differences between version 6 and 8 are but you can always try out version 8 for free for 15 days and see for yourself.

I use version 7 myself and it burns cd's and dvd's and it does it very well and that is really all I need it for.

Roxio over here... Not sure about Nero!

I've used that before Vin... I don't remember if I liked it or not! The only reason I use Roxio is it came on both my laptop and my desktop when I bought them...

That's a great tip Vin, I'll certainly try it out.

I have Nero because I got it for free (and just as Daniel I got Roxio free with my desktop) but always willing to try out something else.

Ole vinnie boy, been using CdBurnerXP for some time here, only one problem with it, no CD Text support: http://cdburnerxp.se/forum/viewtopic... d+text#p20378

Burrn is a tool to make audio CD's with CD Text, but it uses cdrdao.exe for burning.

Had both of these on my "Software We Use Page" on my STS site: http://av1611.us/software.html

I use both - but Nero with the numerous plugins I have installed does it all. I was just wondering if any has any experience with v8 yet to see if it was worth updating to. Do not mind spending money once in a while.

I install CDBurnerXP on new systems I get for people often!
