Angry warning: rant , billing, paypal, credit cards

    You have been warned...

I am totally freakin sick getting nagged for a week after i pay my jag hosting fees. Each month i have to waste precious moments of my life looking up transaction records, etc, etc JUST BECAUSE Jagpc can't get their act together and organize themselves...

EVER HEARD OF IPN ??? Jesus i sell online goods and i have been using this for years... you should too - if you did I would not get nagged by outsourced indian desk jockies every month...

I even started to actually sent the details straight after i made payment with a request - PLEASE RECORD THIS. but to no avail, either your payment clerks are incompitant or playing tom fool with your clients, either way you should sack the lot of them and hire someone with at least mcdonalds level intelligence...

ok more of my time wasted.. please get your act together jagpc, you are the best host i have ever had, why not make the experience 100%

    Well, that was a rant!

I've been a customer for many years, paying by credit card. I've never had an issue, not once. I'm sorry that your experience isn't just as good.
    Good luck

Been here since 1999, haven't had a single billing issue. I am set up with auto pay each month using my credit card, maybe you are doing something different?

IPN is "instant Payment Notification" which is PayPal, Do a Search on here and you will see countless paypal problems.

Not all of them are JPC's fault, do a Search on any shopping cart forums that us IPN and you will see a whole host of "payments missing" or "orders not completed" messages, IPN is unreliable as all get out...

Do yourself a favor and Pay by Credit Card

No thanks, i will not put my credit card on file. My ipn has never failed me and i made it when i was a noob so i dunno what shopping cart you are using that fails so much, ie EVERY FREAKIN MONTH.

glad you guys have had a good experience, i guess us thousands* that use paypal will just have to put up and shut up.

*When the customer service representative said to send the transaction to him I told him to look up the record *himself* and he said it was too *hard* cause thousands of transactions per month occur... wow where do you store the records? on the back of twinky wrappers hahahahahah

like i said luv the hosting, payment service via paypal has a lot left to be desired. its not like i am gonna switch if they do0n't fix it, but this has been a problem for years, surly someone can think of a solution, other than having to give over cc details (the amount of times these get stolen from companies is crazy and i am not going to put my credit on the line)

A lot of CC companies now offer disposible numbers, you can set them up for recurring payments to a single vendor, too. To anyone else the number is worthless.
    Good luck

Personally I will trust JPC long before I trust Ebay (aka paypal)

Been a customer at of Jag for a long time. Never had a problem. I have a PayPal account but I hate to use it. Regardless of your experience there are a lot of problems with PayPal. As a online merchant I will not take payments through PayPal. I will only use PayPal to pay someone if it is a service that I really need and there is no other way to pay.

Hope you feel better after your rant.

Discover is the only one that does it that way,

Visa, and MC, has a similar program but they are ONE TIME USE numbers, so they would not work for reoccuring charges

The your only liable for 0-$50 ($50 is a federal limit) on fraudulent transactions, so like anything you MONITOR the card, I use a single card for all my online purchases, I get a email alert every single time a transaction is run on that card, that way if something where to be charged illegally I can start the charge back process very quickly.

Anyone that has ever done anything with Ecommerce knows that the Consumer is always the presumptive winner in a Charge Back, the merchant has to PROVE it is a legit charge, the charge is suspended on the consumers account until the merchant can prove his chase

this is one of the reasons I dont like paypal, PayPal you lose your federal Legal protections that the Credit Card Companies are under that paypal is not. with the exception of the payments made with PayPal real merchant services

Just to let you know, JPC don't keep your card details on file. There merchant provider do. So if you wont let them do that, why are you with PayPal as they do exactly the same.

Also JPC do not outsource support - they have their own employees and all of which have been very helpful.

I'm sorry to hear you have a problem with PayPal - many people do (including me)

the_ancient how does one go about getting an email sent when a transaction is run on a card as you do? That sounds very handy!

Depends on the bank you hold your card with, Most of the major banks allow you to set up email alerts in the online account centers..
