Smile Happy Father's Day !!! Here's my present to you...

I use IMAP exclusively, and was looking at my mail folders last night...

In one of my accounts, I noticed that there were 4000+ mails in its SPAM folder. Odd!!!

I have CRON set up to automatically 'learn' SPAM & HAM on all my mail accounts at Midnight (server time) and delete them when its done.

Soooo, I invoked the script manually from CLI, only to have it lock up PuTTY - several times. Hello?!?!

After several attempts, I noticed the server load was 11.0-ish, so I decided to cease-and-desist. Instead, I erased all the mail in that SPAM folder and tested the script again.

This time, the script worked fine - and yes, I already had a couple of new SPAM mails in there to test it...

Bottom line: One or more of those SPAM mails was borking Spamassassin - causing a high server load - and this has probably been going on for quite some time, 3-4 weeks!

Anyway, don't forget those CRON jobs. They're easy to overlook, just like Fathers...

    That's MY present to you...

    Happy Father's Day!

    EDIT

    Ya'll...
