That's correct as far as I know. Jag support sorted a domain transfer problem I was having with my aletianic acount. That was a while ago though. They may have divorced the two companies since then.

As for the error itself, everything on aletianic.com temporarily redirects to aletianic.com/global/error.asp including that error page. Hence the loop. Should be easy to fix.

There's also an IP mismatch with the SSL cert. They're probably just moving the site to new hardware.

AletiaNic is a Jag-owned site (Aletia being an older hosting company that JPC bought out several years ago, from which they inherited the AletiaNIC site). It is, however, an Enom PDQ site, a hosted application on eNom's server, so the errors are with eNom and not with JPC.

Try logging in directly to enom.com and see if you have problems there. Your AletiaNIC login should work fine on the main site as well.

Yeah, I was originally hosted at aletia.com, their problems were many and deep, luckily the server I had my site on was among the few stable ones, else I might never have ended up with Jag.

Thanks for the info about enom.com, got my domain now, yay!

Enom makes it's money this way, so they'll probably fix it asap. If you can wait and try again tomorrow, try again tomorrow. If you can't, contact JagPC sales and see what they can do for you. On a normal day, they have access to these systems. Even though we don't right now, they still might.

    Hi,

We are currently having problems with AletiaNIC.com which is hosted by Enom.

We are working on getting this back up and running as soon as possible.
I do work for JaguarPC. If you do need help please provide your ticket number (this isn't sensitive information).

If I'm not active on the forum please open a ticket instead of PMing me. If you think the issue requires access to your server please open a ticket.

You can lo onto enomcentral.com with the same username/password to manage domains purchased through aletianic.
    Good luck

Couple of issues.... looks like some changes have been made to aletianic DNS today.
    Aletianic DNS cnames broken

First I noticed that our cnames have stopped working after being set for a long long time. Looks like standard host settings are always in preference to the cnames.
Second when trying to set a cname it is always moved down to Custom Host names.
Third it is impossible to add new rows to the Standard hostnames.

I can't log in through aletianic.com with Firefox v.3 (infinite loop). I assume aletianic.com is not working any more if the only solution is to log in through Enom. :-(

I haven't tried the interface in years, I go direct to enomcentral, where I'm assured that since I am a JPC/Aletianic customer JPC gets credit (moolah) for my business anyway.

As a side note, I just transferred in a new domain a week or so ago, and the final email sent from openSRS was SOOOOO poorly written:
    Re: Transfer of ZZZZZZZZZZ.com

Tucows received notification on Mon Jan 17 17:39:29 2011 that you have
requested a transfer to another domain name registrar.

If you want to proceed with this transfer, you do not need to respond to
    this message.

If you wish to cancel the transfer, please contact us before Sat Jan 22
17:39:29 2011 by going to our website,

    https://rr-n1-tor.opensrs.net/transfers/index.cgi?away=1&domain=ZZZZZZZZZ.com
    &id=ZZZZZZZZZ to confirm.

You may need to enter the following information to accept or decline the
    transfer:

    Domain Name: ZZZZZZZZZZZZ.com
    Transfer Key: ZZZZZZZZZZZZ

If we do not hear from you by Sat Jan 22 17:39:29 2011, the transfer will
    proceed.
I wanted to (and needed to, the domain was expiring) immediately approve the transfer, but it tells me to follow that link (the only link supplied) to confirm a cancellation.
I held my breath cut and pasted the (broken) link and it took me to a screen to EITHER cancel OR confirm.

    Very, very bad.
Tucows made finding the EPP key request so difficult. I searched and searched their kb -- nothing. I finally found the obfuscated location by searching other sites using the Tucows/SRS system where I found a phrase that put me on the right track to find the request's location. It took hours to find it. Their customer support ignored the request to send it, they just re-sent the account password and didn't even mention the EPP request in the ticket.

So AletiaNIC and eNomCentral are at least on par with the competition.
    Good luck
