Happy 4th of July all. Big thanks to all those who have served and are serving this country.
Heh, even I had a good 4th, and I'm up in Canada on business for the last 3 weeks(It would have kicked ass to have more fireworks... but we managed to find some :-D )
There was a day that Canada was the place to get fireworks. Not any longer, thanks to the kind that our beloved t_a hates.
ohh that is "the new America" there are several states in which fireworks are illegal, and most of the others have very restrictive laws in the use of fireworks "for the good of the people"
I am PROUD to say that after a long hard fight, we the people of Indiana had our laws repelled last years making all fireworks that go under 500ft (i.e all class C fireworks) in the air legal once again. Before that we had the same terrible restrictions that kills freedom and fun in most other states.
Ofcourse, I ignored the old laws, and illegally shoot of my illegal bottle rockets and mortar shells anyway. But........

I hope everyone had a great 4th of July! We did.![]()
We in NY are very happy you in Indiana have that freedom now! If I move anywhere it will be to Fireworks friendly state - that is a good sign as to most everything that that state stands for. My daughter is leaving to go to college in Indiana this January and I for sure will be visiting Johnny Lemas' in Angola er I mean her every chance I get. 1.4g is the classification, it has to do with the amount of pyrotechnical material not height.
How close are you to Angola t_a?
probably about 3 hrs...
I live in Lafayette right now, I will be moving back to Indy probably around the 1st of the year though...
On the Classification, I keep forgetting they change that, there use to be a "Class C" but your right the feds did change it to 1.4gthey cant make up their minds
Best thing about living in New Mexico? A 15 minute drive to the nearest reservation will get you any fireworks you might need. Of course then you have to watch out for fire trucks that are driving around to hand out tickets, but you can hear those a mile away so you have more than enough time to run. Good times.
Hope every one had a good 4th of July, I loved it!

You can't even drive across reservations around here - legally!
Sure, injuns are considered wards of the state, but they live on sovereign land, soo...
To their credit, they found our weaknesses - gambling and tobacco!
Or, in my case, onions and Tabasco...
Anyway, fireworks are a no-no in Arizona - not sure about NM.
