I want to list more than one but I made that request above about choosing only one so that people would have to think about it... now I realize how tough that is.

I'm leaning towards Lost as my favorite. No show has ever made me think as much as it and I've never enjoyed re-watching an entire series from start to finish as much as I did with Lost. Sure, it took a dive after season 1 but it rebounded in season 4.

Fawlty Towers from the BBC. Didn't last long but probably the funniest show I'll ever see.

    This is a difficult choice..

I could go between a lot of shows, back n forth, Would have to settle on and say Stargate.

I can't do just one. At different points in my life different shows were the best.
How could I not list the original Star Trek though now I find it tough to watch an episode?
I liked all of the Star Treks...
Stargate is fun, but I see it at 3 in the morning here.
How could I not list Frasier?
How could I not list Gilligan's Island? Or Get Smart? Or Lassie?
    Happy Days!
The first season of The Apprentice!
The Three Stooges Marathon every New Year's Eve!

    OHH! I Know!
Without a doubt. The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. I miss seeing the old-timers; they just disappeared off the face of the TV planet when Johnny retired.
    Good luck

PBS's Frontline followed closely by Nova.

Most Frontline episodes can be viewed online: http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/

No way I could pick just one and only one because my favorite of "all time" changes depending on the year. When I was a kid, Mork and Mindy was my favorite show. (Wait, does that show my age??) For a while I loved Home Improvement & the Cosby Show. For a time it was Firefly. Right now I'm loving the new Battlestar Galactica... even though I hate how they airing it.

Joss at the height of his powers. I still can't believe it was axed so brutally.

I think the new BSG is very much a post-firefly space opera (especially when compared to stuff like Star Trek), from the moral relativism to the shonky CGI.

I'm looking forward to Joss' next attempt on Fox, Dollhouse. It looks really promising.

Yeah, Bring firefly back in all it's glory----

    He robbed from the rich
And he gave to the poor
    Stood up to the man
    And gave him what for
    Our love for him now
    Ain't hard to explain
    The hero of Canton
    The man they call Jayne.
