Ok so i check my domain and I get this:

    hostnames sharing ip with a-records
    mail.mydomain.com
    ns1.someotherdomain.net
Something to be worried about? Just an old entry someotherdomain.net never purged from their own records?

Edit: this is on a VPS and my domain is on exclusive IP.

    Worry?!?!?

    Hrm... maybe!

I *suppose* it depends on your definition of 'worry'...

Personally, I would be concerned enough to check it out!

    Anyway, that's a GREAT tool, isn't it?

Well for the record that entry doesn't exist in my records, it's on their machine.

I wouldn't be concerned with anything listed there. Who cares what dns says or does anymore really. Its an old old service thats remained pretty unchanged for a decade. We patch, we stay up to date on the daemons but the basic structure of dns is simple, tried, and tested. If your site works, dont worry what it says there.

wow, what a mess of arrows on the last rss link there

    Point taken!

    LoL!

I read an article the other day that featured 'the guy' that invented I.P., et al.

He said that 'we' are about to run out of addies. That's of GREATER concern, I would judge!
