I tried a few of the betas/RCs but always went back to winamp. The memory usage is just way too high and I really just need something that plays music.

It does look like a solid player with a lot of promise, but winamp does the job just fine for me.
    Nomsane?
    That is all.

The bastard child of Mozilla and Winamp, eh?

Okay, against my better judgment, I'll try it...

    EDIT

    Gak! Sorry TA...

    Not my cup o' tea!

BTW, I updated some proggies today. How about that WP 2.7?!?!? Looks GREAT now!

    EDIT 2

Whoa! The vB 'Edit Post' save button works with FX 3.0.4 !!! You don't have to 'Go Advanced'.

    Okay, carry on...

I've tried a LOT of media managers/players and I too keep going back to WinAmp.

Until Songbird lets me rip music, I won't be using that either.

I tried a bunch of the them too, in the old days - finally settled on MusicMatch (in the last century). Last I heard, Yahoo! wrecked it...

WinAmp was a kludge back then, but when they started skinning it, I decided to give it a try - and I've stuck with Winamp ever since. Actually, that Songturd player TA misrepresented was the first one I've installed in years - that thing doesn't do anything... no .asx, no AAC+, no nothing. I could have written a better player than that!

I was having a problem playing videos with Winamp lately... but I discovered I wasn't running the right codec pack for the kind of videos I make/watch.

I tried a bunch of codec packs too, before discovered CCCP. Now I'm stuck on it!

Winamp and CCCP make a deadly combination, if you haven't tried it!!!
