Automatic Process Terminator

There is currently a process on tiger using upto 95% of the CPU. Shouldn't there be something that prevents processes from dominating the system like this?

I noticed that too, but now the process is gone.. I'm not sure what was it.. I didn't have problems with tiger when that process was up. I remember that the load avr was about 2 and 3... And now, see: Load Averages 0.81 0.74 0.62.
