    Snap Of All Servers

Was reading another thread about the various servers and decided to take a look-see (even ducks get bored if there are not enough humans around to entertain us).

Decided to use hypr-snap and do a shot of each server.
Chick, Eagle, Hamster, Puma, Scorpion and Tiger -

    (edit)
STILL UNABLE TO GET INFO ON COBRA AS OF 1640 hrs (GMT -8)apparently it's down.

Put the snaps of the servers on a page which may be viewed at:

snaps of servers at approx 1330 hrs 11/04/02

Each server has the time that the snap was taken.

I noticed amongst other things two indications of possible future aggrevation.

    1. Eagle is reporting it's physical memory use incorrect.

    2. Tiger is showing that the usr partition is 3.85 gigs and is 94% used and is showing free space of 24 MB

First of all personal experience has shown me that whenever a partitions free space gets below 50-100MB depending on it's use YOU ARE ASKING FOR TROUBLE.

Second if I'm not mistaking 94% usage of 3.85 gigs should leave 231 MB free - which would probably be adequate so perhaps it is just the program reporting incorrectly, as I assume it is with Eagle.

If you read this Ron - and have a moment to view the above url perhaps you might let us know about these two obvious inconsistencies as to whether it is the sys rept program or ???? :wavey:

Thanks for posting those snaps EHG.
I have noticed those inconsistencies on http://eagle.nocdns.com myself but I assumed it had something to do with the php reporting tool.

I hope aletia could make use of mrtg on all of its machines so that we see the overall usage and uptime.
I am experienced in setting up/installing mrtg, so if aletia needs help on that, I am available
