scorpion to swan: worked for me, eventually

Thumbs up the Aletia support who did all they could, to get me going again on swan, and eventually even fixed one of my scripts (my programmer doesn't work weekends - the script wasn't broken last week before the scorpion troubles began, however!

It's easy to yell abuse when things don't go smoothly, but harder to rememeber a bit of praise when its due!


So thanks guys and girls for fixing me up!

Yes, it just shows that it can pay to communicate politely and earnestly with sufficient infomation to make things happen.

from what I understand tickets get routed to those best able to looka after them. If that's the case, there will be some support staff with the time to deal with an extra because they may not have the skills/access to deal with another issue.

Or maybe it's a lack of organization, or maybe it was such a quick fix it takes nothing away from the job of fixing up subdomains....I guess I'm having a tough time thinking I know exactly whats going on, so I'll accept that they are working to get back on track, I do think there is a lot of things they could be doing differently, but I don't presume to know why they don't.

having said all that I sure don't know why they don't communicate better with us. Altho I do haunt the forums, learning a lot! A person shouldn't have to, they should be able to send out emails of announcements rather than just the forum for announcements.
