I put this helpdesk request in this morning:Here's the responce I recieved:Created on 04/16/2002 11:15 by customer:
I am tired of dealing with the poor service on Puma, yet I don't want to leave Aletia Hosting. Puma is very slow and I'm not getting any web statistics. I have a friend who moved over to [server name] and I would like to be moved there as well.
Thanks,
JonI responded with:Created on 04/16/2002 11:23 by tech:
Hi,
There were some upgradation and restructuring going on, on the server puma. That could be the reason for your difficulties. Could you please be patient and incase you face any problems in future, we would definitely consider moving your account elsewhere.
Thank you.
Have a nice day.
Regards,
Sharon. My question is how much patience should I have? I realise that's a subjective question, but haven't I exceeded the most reasonable definition of "patient"?Created on 04/16/2002 11:45 by customer:
Thanks for responding so quickly Sharon. This isn't really a new problem. I have been very patient. As you can see, the log analyzers on Puma have not run since March 8. That's well over a month ago. They were turned off in order to help Puma perform better, according to Ron (who answered a previous ticket of mine). The problem has really been going on since mid-February. So, I have been patient for 2 months now.
I would prefer to be moved now. But at most I will be patient for 2 more weeks until the end of this month. If things have not cleared up by then, I would like to be moved to another server.
Thanks,
Jon
To add to it, this will be the 2nd time I've moved servers at Aletia Hosting. I moved to Aletia Hosting in October of 2001. I was set up on Scorpion. For those of you who don't remember, Scorpion was having major issues (as it is now again, from what I read). I asked them to move me to another server. Now, I'm on Puma, which was quite nice. If you've been reading the forums regularly, you know that Puma isn't having a good time now either.
So, have I been patient?
What would you do?
Would you stick it out on this server?
Would you demand to be moved to another server?
Would you start looking for another hosting provider?
