    Laura was also of great assistance to me also. When I first set up my account I made .com my main account and then added .org as my parked domain and immediately realized that it should be reversed. Laura accomplished that for me within hours after I requested it and at no cost. THANKS YOU LAURA

    laura = not awesome

    You guys are really funnny.

    " Laura accomplished that for me within hours after I requested it and at no cost."

    Within hours as in 48 hours or 72 hours? At no cost, oh my, I didn't know other places charge for help.

    Well, I just want to note my experience. It's real simple. Laura was terrible. Very terrible. She said "I will do it whenever I have the time" (referring to sending me a password to my dns settings) instead of rather doing it, she rather have long email conversations with me rather then actually do something to fix any of my problems. To make it worse, she understood finally after 4 days of what I wanted to do, it's quite a no brainer, I just needed to setup an MHD (multi-hosted domain). Instead of doing it herself, she asked me to send in a trouble ticket and the next available tech can do it. Now, here I am in constant back and forth email contacts with her, and finally we are on the same level of understandings, she says send in a trouble ticket. What in the world does that do but prolong to the solution to my simple problem. Now I have to state everything I wanted to do again in a trouble ticket after exhaustively talking to Laura. You see, it's real simple for me, if by attacking someone publicly is childish and creates awkwardness later when I need help again, and they are slow to act upon it. It's real easy, I am giving them one more chance, I will SIMPLY CANCEL my service. Not only they lose my business, but any future business from all my friends as I will be sure to NOT RECOMMEND this host.

    And NO I'm not sent from HR as someone mentioned previously.

    Interesting definition of funny!

    I set up a domain www.mydomain.com - I registered that domain with Aletia and purchased a years contract for hosting. Within 6 hours of submission my site was activated by Aletia (Laura in this case) and fully functional. Within 10 hours the registered domain name was activated and working.

    Approximately 2 weeks later perhaps more I decided to also register the same name but as www.mydomain.org - I utilized Aletia to register the domain name at $9.95 for the year (a very competitive price) and used it as a 'parked domain'. This was also accomplished in less then 12 hours again by Laura if I remember correctly.

    A few weeks later I decided that I wanted to use the www.mydomain.org as my main site identification and on my email correspondence and that www.mydomain.com would then become the 'parked domain'.

    I inquired to Aletia via Laura as to whether this could be accomplished, what it would require and if there would be an additional charge.

    I received an immediate answer to my inquiry that they would be happy to do this for me that it could be accomplished almost immediately after I made a formal request.

    Let me explain that in order to do this they had to literally cancel out my initial account that I had signed up for including the IP# and set up an entirely new account for me with a new IP# and then park my initial .com domain name. This was well after the initial 30 day grace period where one can cancell an account and expect a refund. If they wanted to be difficult about it they were well within their rights to demand that if I wanted my domains switched that I purchase another account. Instead they did it at no charge and they did it within hours after I requested the switch.

    Aletia has had it's problems lately - and I have been somewhat vocal in the forums about some of the difficulties. HOWEVER as far as I'm concerned their treatment of me as a new customer was exemplary and because of that I for one will overlook any minor difficulties that have or may occur while they are attempting to resolve the various issues causing them.

    I may what's that word (CLIO help!) b**** now and then about some issues BUT I'M ROOTING FOR ALETIA
