    Cookie problem?

I remember seeing a post on cookie problems. People having to log back into forums every visit and not being able to access certain sites at all.

This one is going to sound stupid.

For the longest time I'd had problems staying logged in into forums (on my laptop) and could not log in to some sites at all. I tried all kinds of "Accept All Cookies" settings and all that other jazz, but as soon as I closed IE and opened it again and tried to access the forums, I would have to log back in. I stumbled upon the solution by mistake. My Windows time setting was wrong. The year was set as 2029, must have happened during a crash. So what was happening is that all cookies expired as soon as they hit my computer. Resetting the date fixed the problem.

Told you it was a stupid one.
Strange thing ... I saw numerous posts on other boards of people complaining of the same problem, so ... "Go forth and Spread the word"

    Hey, thanks SillyAlien!

One of the common problems with my forums is people get logged off when they try to post or something...

    I'll keep this in mind
