    Site still down

I see all these messages saying how great everything is, how people should stop complaining as it might make Aletia look bad. How many of you have had problems that need to be dealt with? Our site has been down for days, multiple Tickets submitted, phone messages left, new credit card numbers sent, and we can't get a single answer. Not the tiniest peep. We can't put up a redirect or do anything to get our site up. We are completely screwed because of an error on their part (see this for a similar story: http://www.aletiaforums.com/showthre...&threadid=4198 )

How can people defend "service" like this? We are dead in the water. Are we supposed to just sit and smile?

your site is not "down". it's exceeded its bandwidth limit. this is not 'downtime'.

    I am changing your threadtitle.

I think "we" are not defending aletia in any way. We are just telling our experience with this service. Personally, it has been great.

I understand there are people having problems, but there is nothing we can do to help you solve a problem like this.

    yeah, i noticed too.
however, he poses a question here about the customers, and not necessarily about the bug glitch and his problems, so i've let it stay. but if it strays off topic to that, i will close the thread.

the idea of not having double posts is to prevent people having to read 3 versions of a thread to find 1 answer. so, as long as this thread is not about the other one, he's ok.

    Wonderful!

This is so heartening! Our site remains down due to an Aletia software bug, despite multiple tags, calls, e-mails, and posts. We can't get the tiniest peep from those in charge, while contacts are lost and banner ads we are running link to a dead site.

Yet the forum police are right there to keep me in line! Hooray for Aletia!

Don't get sarcastic veganpa, your just making yourself look silly and childish.

The moderators on these forums have nothing whatsoever to do with aletia, they are customers just like you who volunteer to keep these forums running. They don't deserve abuse, or your sarcasm.

We understand you have a problem and sympathise with you, however venting here will do little to solve it I'm afraid

    And?

So what will solve the problem? Really -- I'd do anything you want to find out.

Sorry I really don't know, I don't have all the answers unfortunatly. Aletia's advertised support system includes phone, email and the ticket script, all of which you have already tried therefore I know of no other way to contact them short of personally visiting their offices.

If you continue to get no response from them then I'd suggest finding yourself another host and cancelling your payments. At least thats what I would be doing in your place, however dispite some repeated downtime before now I'm still happy with aletia. Its hard for many users here to reconcile the type of bad support given to you with the seemingly excellant support given to us. Thats why many customers defend aletia and your right that we wouldn't defend them if we'd suffered the same treatment as you

    Down

We've been down since late last week. We can't get a single peep from them, no matter what we do. This is beyond unprofessional, IMHO.
