Disclaimer Anyone?

Hey guys, I'm stuck in a small problem and hoping that someone has the answer to this....


I'm building a site, using PHP Nuke and its a small portal site, that will have few small things, but here is my question, where can I find a website with the information about how and what to write disclaimers?

I have searched allover and couldn't find a place to have something like that...... can someone please please please help me?!

I can think of two alternatives.

1. Spend vast quantities of legal tender and have a supposedly qualified officer of the court (attorney - solicitor or I can think of numerous other terms to define a great many of those who claim that as their profession) and have them create the document for you.

2. In the google search engine type in 'legal disclaimer'
and from the results you will have access to the various disclaimers from a multitude of sites from which i'm sure you can find text that can be simply modified to fit your needs. Not sure but most likely you also find some instructive materials on creating disclaimers.

3. Very simple:

DISCLAIMER AND DENIAL:

I deny this is my site. I deny I am responsible for any of the content. I deny everything except my denials*. I deny that I am me. The use of this site is at your own risk and that includes reading this denial.

*I deny that this denial is on my site. I who have already denied my existence could not have possibly put it there. I deny my existence therefore this site, all of it's content and this denial DO NOT EXIST THEY ARE ALL A FIGMENT OF YOUR IMMAGINATION AS I AM!

Just go to another site and copy theirs
well, you gotta reword it, but you'll get the idea of what you need to include.

Try Cyber Crew. Cyber Crew explains things in plain English. That way you can understand the reason behind what you are writing as well! I try and point everyone here as it's a great resource.

They have copyright helps for websites and graphics in case you are looking for that. They allow you to adapt the wording for your site. Here are some samples.

There is also a forum board if you do graphics and web sites. Informative and knowledgable people are on the board...it's a great site! I found it over a year ago and I'm glad I did!
