I have signed up with aletia since 30 April 2002 and got the username and password with one year subscription which will give me a free domain registration.

Till today my domain is not registered and my ticket
T-45137 assigned to: (Laura Brandt) is not even replied on. I keep talking to my self in this damn ticket. I am kept ignored now for almost 15 days. I even tried calling their emergency phone number and talked to a machine which did not call me back!!!!

My opinion that they have to best hosting system.
But the worst service humans.

I still don't know when my domain will be registered. I must pray for it. this is the only way I believe.

Not quite sure what's going on there, but it seems others have been having similar problems lately. A search in the forums on Laura Brandt should yield some enlightening results.

I had a similer problem with a ticket that was assigned to laura it sat for almost a month unanswered

you need to send another ticket this time stating that you sent one before hand and who it was assigned too and ask them to rectify the problem you will get then hopefully it will be fixed for you!

nawraa.net ... as I understand your problem .... you do have your account set up ok but you have requested the free domain feature offerred with the annual account to provide you with your main domain for your account? If this is the case, immediately stop waiting for Laura or anyone else to get back to you while you are on hold with the use of your account and while you may loose that doamin name to someone else each hour that you wait for Aletia to register it for you. Purchase the doamin yourself .. it only costs 10 dollars for one year. Then set up your domain to use the Aletia servers and you will be operational in approx 48 hours. Afterwards open a ticket, inform Aletia to cancel your first free domain name registration request as you couldn't wait another second longer and then request another name .. you will also have to wait for that one as well but when you do get it, you can host it on your account or point it to your main domain which is now fully functional.
With domain names you cannot wait .. all names are being scooped up by the thousands per day.
