Ok here's my problem--I changed credit cards last month and asked Aletia what I needed to do to change my billing information. They said: hi, ...

    No getting any reponse via email nor support ticket.

    Ok here's my problem--I changed credit cards last month and asked Aletia what I needed to do to change my billing information. They said:
    hi,
    To update your credit card information, simply open an account via our web site (as if you're signing up for a new account). Enter the correct billing information on the payment page, then when you reach the account setup form, be sure to indicate your original order ID (found in your previous email receipt, not your new one) under the "Special Instructions" section of the form.Do let us know if you face any difficulty.Thank you.

    Anyway to make a long story short--nothing happened. My old credit card was billed and Aletia de-activated both my accounts. I have tried and emailed using the support ticket since 04/29 and nobody replies or helps.

    I didn't have my original order ID, and I realized this after I signed up for another account. I did however enter my domain names in the "Special Instructions"
    some how one of my accounts was re-activated, but not my personal one.

    I emailed support again to maybe open up a new ticket--
    I also called the emergency number so I could speak with someone over the phone. I am writing here so I can say I tried to contact Aletia as much as I could. I don't have AIM nor ICQ --but if I have to download them I will.

    Someone please help! Here was the original ticket number: T-44878

    update--well the new email I sent out saying that my support ticket was not being reponded to went to the same support ticket. ---

    Of course it did, and it is assigned to Laura Brandt... correct? hmmphhhh

    My advice is to look at the top of the page (forums) and click the members link. Then find Ron Kuris profile and send him a PM with the ticket numbers.

    On the other hand, if you are a spiritual person atall... take it as a sign from GOD. Taking whatever steps necessary to have your CC reimbursed, and find a Host that are better equipped to run a hosting company.

    I am not flamming Aletia, read the forums closely and you'll see what I mean.

    Yes Steve it was assigned to Laura Brandt...I will try what you said and send a pm to ron. This is the most help i've had so far....

    Ahhh taint nutin Sam, just a bit o' direction for ya.

    Ron is usually pretty quick to respond.

    Ron said he doesn't have anything to do with billing. My best bet he say's is to email Laura about it as she handles all the billing. laura@aletia.com --
    which means I'm SOL.

    Steve-- Do you know if it's possible to call Aletia? They must have a phone number to call, it's a business no?

    These are things I should have looked at before choosing hosts.

    I believe Mark also handles sales stuff. I would try e-mailing him as well.

    Yeap, Ryka is right on... as usual

    Mark's addy is mark@aletia.com.
    As for a phone number... it'll get you the same response as that ticket assigned to Laura did.

    Just kidding. I'm actually very happy here with Aletia. But my kind seems to be an endangered species of sorts.

    You betcha Ryka... btw, I just have trouble remembering in my old age. teheee

    I have no doubts their are more happy campers... than not, here at Aletia. I actually acquired hosting to early, and don't see the need to continue when I can do the developing on my machine, here.

    I will certainly check out Aletia once ready, to see if the growing pains have subsided.

    One more thing Ryka, good luck on that personal site... and getting out of 'college hell' of course!

    Well, I could not get any support for Granato.org from Aletia so I cancelled my hosting from Aletia two days ago. I thought, ok atleast I have daily-bread.org with Aletia. Then this morning I get an email:

    This is to inform you that your recurring order for Aletia Corporation was billed 20020521.

    Order Number : 18350-R102549
    Card Number : 4635...0349
    Amount : $19.95
    Company : Aletia Corporation

    This is the freakin old credit card number. Nothing has been changed for a month. Makes me wonder--Do you guys read the emails and support tickets customers send you? then discard them or something?
    I have tried to reach you with the emergency number, aim, icq and even using the messageboard:

    but you never return phone calls return emails or answer a billing support ticket, never sign on to aim or icq or post anything on the messageboard.

    Are you a real company? I really have my doubts, but If you say you are, let me have your phone number so I can speak with someone about this.

    oh man... that SUCKS

    Sorry to hear that this is happening to you... I have one last suggestion for you though.

    Find Ron Kuris profile and send him a PM with your situation, maybe he can help you since both Mark and Laura seem to be non-compliant with our repeated request.

    If that dont work... contact paysystems.com directly and inform them whats going on. They will inturn notify Aletia and give the a certain amount of time to respond to them, after that... they will resolve it for you themselves. Sad really, very sad, but this seems to be the normal as of late.

    Not the image most host would want to pull up from.

    Note to self:
    "Good" hosts have a phone number.

    BTW most of you are billed by paysystems.com, but I am being billed by 2checkout.com there email is service@2checkout.com

    Hopefully they can help me.

    Sorry bout my repeat of given advice. It just dawned on me you ventured down that road before, and doing so again will only get you the same non-chalant near snotty reply again.

    I wonder if Ron doesn't get the fact that Laura is not responding to anyone's tickets.
