    Explain downtime

It would be very nice if any downtime greater than, say, a half hour or so (like kiwi's current troubles) were explained in the forums in some way, as a general policy.

I can certainly understand not wanting to take the time to close a whole load of tickets when a resolution is not yet known, but a forum message would help customers immensely who simply don't have service, and don't know why.

I agree. Better communication in general from Aletia to the customers would be much appreciated. I mean, they moved my entire website to a different machine, and I had to submit a help ticket to find out about it!

I agree! As paying customers we should atleast know what's causing the downtime..and one of the reasons why I signed up here was because Aletia let's people know what's going on....but recently there's been no announcements! I wouldn't be so upset if I knew what was going on with my machine!

recently? I've been here for ~6 months and there have minimal announcements (if at all) made concerning downtime whatsoever.

    Is aybody home?

As paying customers, the least we are due is an explanation as to why service cannot be delivered, and what is being done to fix the problem. We are also due some sort of updates on a periodic basis as to what is being done, and what a possible ETA is on the solution....

ALETIA, just try to keep your customers informed....it is OUR money!
