Am I causing downtime?

I have this new image gallery software installed on my site:

I think it uses /tmp on the server whenever I upload some images. I've been using it since last month, so I was wondering... Is it possible that this software is causing those "DoS attacks"? What if there are other users that don't know enough about their software, just like me?

Would Aletia be to blame or the one not even knowing? I'm sure they should prevent us from doing things like that, that's what hosting people do for a living, right?

Hi, welll... i don't know that gallery software, but I think the problems related to the DoS attacks were made by people outside the server.. I Mean... Someone sending ALOT of packets to the server.. This causes the server to become slow or even crash.
