You don't respond to my emails or help tickets I file!

A long time ago I filed a ticket. This was back in March. I requested a refund because of the problems they were having with emails. They constantly lost emails and ones that were sent were not going through, and I got no warning of this (the server returned no error message).
I paid for a years worth of service and stopped in march. I don't know how much longer my contract goes for but I am pretty fed up. The ticket started out with "I would like a refund yada yada yada yada" and then they told me ok, they would do it, and that they also needed to know my paysystems.com purchase number and something else, i believe it was what machine i was on. I gave that to them and that was the last they ever did anything to my ticket. This is rediculous. The only message I got from them was about 2 months later which was computer genereated saying the ticket would be deleted if you did not respond to it.
Somebody please respond to me on this ticket because I am pretty angry at aletia right now. I have not had, and still do not have the time to put up with this bs. The ticket I filed was with the email teyring1@aol.com. I have lost the ticket number but its still open so i'm sure you can find it.

I'll bet your ticket, as a billing / account issue, was assigned to the elusive Laura.

Be aware that the forums do not appear monitored all the time by official Aletia staff. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that they have other duties and only stop by here to browse on occasion. Most of the help here is users helping other users.

Try PMing Dana, one of the Aletia super mods here to see if she can intervene on your behalf. Sometimes drawing attention to the thread this way gets results. You can get her address from one of her posts in the Announcements forum. Remember that she may not be in the loop on your particular problem right away, so don't start off half cocked. Having the ticket number, if you can possibly find it again, would help of course.
The trouble with our times is that the future is not what it used to be.

Thank you for your help. I wish I did have my ticket number myself, but unfortunatly it was emailed to AOL which deletes it's old email automatically. I printed it out but that pretty much means its lost for a few years. I am aware that the forums are mostly mebers-helping-members, but I felt that if I posted it, Aletia would feel more threated to do something about it because their reputation is at stake. I do believe now that Laura Brandt (I think) was the person that handled my ticket.

I will try to PM Dana and see if she can help me, and hope another administrator comes in here and sees this post.

Thank you for your help, I wouldn't of thought of the PM idea.

    I had the same problem

I wasnt receiving emails, and some of the emails i sent never got there. I still have an open ticket for over a month now. I received responses but never any action. I had to open another ticket and contact a thrid person in order to try and get any sort of action taken. They emailed me saying "the problem is fixed" after i said i would cancel service, but the same problem continued to happen. when i asked what the problem was and what they were doing they wouldnt give me an answer. So obviously if they cant tell me the problem they did no fix it. Aletia has continually dissapointed me and I am asking for a refund for downtime, hopefully i will have better louck than you. If you do not receive a refund as you were promised i would advise you to visit www.betterbusinessbueau.com and file a complaint for unsatisfactory service. As a paying customer and beinf promised a refund, you are entitled to refund if service is not delivered.

    Dear deadeyesunder:

Thank you for the response. I will file a complaint with the Better Business Bueau if I do not get a refund, however the URL you gave me did not work. I belive it is just bbb.org.

Dana, the person lookout recommended, agknowledged my complaint and seems to be working on the problem. I will let you know how it goes. If this goes well with me I also suggest you PM Dana.

If you are looking for a new host I would recommend ******* ********. As you can see on the Server Status Page, http://***********.com/netstatus you can see that they are very reliable. One of their machines has been up for almost a year. I have not had a problem with them in the few months I have had them. They are a little bit more pricey, however I think it is worth it.

    Thanks,
    Casey

oh oops it is http://www.betterbusinessbureau.com or www.bbb.org. We are not allowed to talk about other service providers since many of them probably have automated responses that are of more help than aletia customer service. good luck!

It took 2.5 months for me to get my money back last Monday. I cancelled April 23rd.

Of course Laura Brandt was assigned the ticket. Though I did have talks with "tech", "Lijoe" and Ron, Ron was most helpful but it still didn't get me my refund.

The day prior to getting my refund I filed complaints with the BBB and the Internet Fraud Complaint Center

Trish, glad to hear you got your refund. im hoping i will get one for downtime issues. Thanks for the tip about the Internet Fraud Complaint Center, if i cant reach a agreement with aletia i will know another place to take action. Im hoping they can just do the right thing so we can all be saved a headache but we shall see i guess.
