well coming up on my first year on dolphin,
i think? lol.
it's been fast and except for the one day of troubles, it's been great uptime.
though after 1 year, and watching over dolphin, i'm wondering if maybe it should get a minor upgrade?
mainly i'm thinking I/O wise it's starting to stumble a bit.
when watching the loads get higher, and it doesn't seem like the CPU is really doing that much work,
wondering if maybe the poor "value" grade 5400rpm IDE drive is getting streched to it's limits.
the model number according to phpsysinfo is a "WD200EB"
anyway, just seeing as we don't have trouble with much else, maybe it should just get a nice boost with a 7200RPM 2MB+ cache IDE drive.
but just my opinon. i have a graphics and video workstation on 4x 20GB 7200RPM drives, and i can push 90-100+MB/s through em![]()
