Has anyone taken a look at aletia server status lately? Fully HALF of the 18 machines here are down. The machine I'm on isn't one of them, but it's being flakey, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was down by the end of the day too.

If this isn't a good reason to find a new webhost, I don't know what is.

That page is not very reliable. As of right now, everything is up - except for Dolphin. Dolphin is NEVER up, which is not true. They might as well take that page down. On many occasions, the page will say that a specific server is down. By accessing the individual server page however, one will discover that it is not. Quite odd.

Hrm. makes me wonder why they bothered to make a status page if it DOESNT WORK.

Because they figured it WOULD WORK.

You can still check the status of your machine by using http://servername.nocdns.com

Pfft. Whale is where it's at. I cancelled the whale account, but whale rocked for the short time I was on it.

Old reliable cheetah has been good to me as well

chick hasn't been bad since my account was moved there. only minor downtime in the beginning. however, i was on scorpion before that, which was down more than it was up.
