    How's your summer been?

This board has been sooo negative lately, I'd like to start something positive and more fun.

So how have your summers been?
    Here's mine so far.

    1. Work, work, work. I have like 3+ jobs right now, and it's driving me nuts. I keep getting called in. Oh well, I need money. I'm addicted to ebay =/ But at my office job, everyone is on vacation so I have nothing to do. Heh, I am paid to surf the internet and play.
    2. Summer Reading - Another reason why my school is evil. We have to read 5 books from a list every summer. I'm reading Catch-22 - What a weird book. I also plan to read The Sound and the Fury, An American Tragedy, and From Beruit to Jerusalem.
    3. I bought a PDA, a Jornada 568. Yeah, I spent a lot of money on this thing, but I love it. I don't need notebooks for next year, just my PDA and its keyboard. Well, I need one for calc, but that's math.
    4. I went to New York Fun Fun Fun. I want to go back for a bit.
    5. College Applications, wahoo. Not. =/ Does anyone know how to fill out docs on Adobe Acrobat? I have chickenscratch handwriting...
    6. Playstation 2: I have logged an insane amount of video games hours, esp. after I got back from New York
    7. Drivers Ed - Fun Fun, starts next week. Haha, my parents are afraid, very afraid... I've crashed the car 3 times before
    8. No time to spend $7000 in scholarship money. Sigh, I gotta spend it before next July. I wasn't able to fit it this summer.

    That's about it.

Mine's been awesome indeed. We went camping for 4 days to kick the summer off and it was great. We all had a blast. Since then I've just been taking it easy and hanging out with friends doing the usual stuff like movies, mall, beach, swimming, partys etc. I've also done a couple small client jobs to help pay the bills though I really hate working through the summer but what can ya do?

I've been talking to a new girl which is going good so I really can't complain.

Oh I also got 3 tatoos as well. One at the begining of summer and 2 today actually.

All in all its been a great summer. Gone by fast but that usually happens.
    Nomsane?
    That is all.

I started out my summer at MIAD (Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design) studying photography (fun) and graphic design (horrible "this is the pen tool" class). Overall it was very fun.

Then I did nothing for a month.

Now I'm busy. For the last week I've been working for Tom Barrett, a candidate for governor in Wisconsin (www.barrett2002.com). He's a very nice and wonderful person. Working on this has been a great experience, though I hurt a lot when I'm done (repetitive stress from making thousands of yard signs, stuffing envelops, doing data entry, etc.). If you live in Wisconsin, you should vote for him. Feel free to PM or email me if you have questions.

I'm also going to San Francisco on August 21 till the 25 and then school starts on Tuesday, August 27.

Oh, and the woman I love (though I'm not sure that love is returned) just left for Germany where she is going to school for a year. Life sucks sometimes.

VOTE TOM BARRETT FOR GOV ON SEPT. 10

I spent my summer paragliding in the steppes of Ukraine, the pambas of Peru and the tundras of Laponia. In mid June me and others that shall remain anonymousse, conquered K2 in the Himalayas in under 16 hours. The sunrise was magnificent as we parachuted our way back to the base. Then, down we went to Indian Ocean for some extreme scuba diving with the sharks. I got to pet 4 of them, nice creatures. I still have love bites from a great white. As July came we were so bored from trivial tasks that we signed up for the next civilian mission to Mars, ready for 2007 by China. It will be sweet, I can hold my breath for 12 minutes just in case. The Chinese are very friendly but they have a thing about stelilizing us all before boarding the simulator. We were asked to test drive the new Lamborgini Countach by Siniore Dontapelli in Milano, Italy. We had a wonderful weekend with his daughters, all 6ft blondes with bodacious mamootas! Signed some autographs for Hustler for the pron star of the year contest and returned to Madagascar to look after the babaco plantations. It was a warm August so far and we plan to go tornado chasing in Texas for some entertainment. But for the time being this weekend we'll do some exorcisms in a haunted castle in Scotland. There is no way we will be bored, thanks to Aletia

Hey, summer isn't over yet! I just want it to go on, even if it rains like mad outside

Anyway, this summer started with studying for my tests that are going to take place next september.
After two weeks I took off to London for 5 days to meet an old friend of mine. London was great, I like those parks and the great variety of ethnical food that this city offers, even my hostel was surviveable
After studying for another two days back home. I drove to Rome with a couple of friends where we spent a few days at a campsite just next to the beach...I love Italy but I hate to drive there...Italians drive like maniacs, it's always an adrenaline rush
And the best thing in this summer happened after returning from Rome...which is that me and my gf got back together again...:P I will be heading to Spain with her as soon as these tests are over...then we can finally call it a summer
A selection of nice landscape pictures that I took on all these summer trips should be up soon, if I find time...because now I just have to study, study and study to survive all these tests in the beginning of September!

Thanks Clio, for bringing a bit of fun into this forum

Thanks for hating me I just travel on a really tight budget that's why I can do some more stuff and since I live in Switzerland, going to Rome for me is probably like going to Woodstock for you (I always wanted to see that place but I couldn't afford it neither)...

Don't go to Greece if you visit Europe, since it's full with crazy geeks which will bombard you with their three-letter-dotcom sales everywhere in the streets

wow, compared to you guys, my summer has been The Most Boring Summer Ever (tm).

I took an abnormal psych class for May session, which turned out to be the easiest class in my college career so far. Two days after that end, I had moved back home and started working full time. I was hired to make several webpages and complete a research project. One database and many weeks later, I have read the entire Internet twice, and still haven't actually made the web pages because my boss(es) seem to be taking their time giving me the content for them. Next weekend, I will move back to school and go back to work at my job there. And that's the end of my summer.

    No exciting trips for me.
