    Communicate with New Users!

Although I am new to Aletia (signed up almost exactly 24 hours ago), I feel as though the communication could be a little better.

So far, I have heard nothing from them other than a confirmation from their billing company that they processed my payment.

It would be so easy to send out a form letter to users saying something like the following:

Thanks for signing up, we appreciate your business! Within the next day or so, you will receive an email that will explain how to set upo your account.

For now...here are some useful tips...etc etc.

    Thanks!
    Aletia Hosting Corp.
At least new users would have a great first impression of them, rather than waiting around for something to happen.

It doesn't take much, but that little tiny added bit of communication can really make a new customer feel better about parting with their cash.

    Thanks,
    Alistair.

    Welcome to Aletia...

We've been preaching better communication to Aletia for ages with, sadly, no results.

How come, you are a moderator, you have to have certain communications better then we have with aletia.

Typically you'd get that welcome message when your account is set up, the first account I set up i got a welcome, your account is set up and here's how to access it within a couple hours. Unfortunately not so on the second one, I had asked for a specific server and that took a while. Seems anything out of the ordinary takes way too much time

I'd suggest opening a ticket if you haven't heard anything by Monday?

Moderators are users volunteering their time to put some order in the chaos of the forums. They are not Aletia employees.

I haven't communicated with aletia (since I left the forums).... I remember they had excellent communications.. I have a lot of eml messages that I sent them, and they responded like in less than 30 minutes.

I also have a lot of AIM messages when they used to be there all the time (although I don't ever see their AIM screenname anymore)

How sad... I wonder where all the employees went...?
If you see me posting, there must be bad news. ^^

    No, I don't.

I have one ticket that has been open for a 2 months and another for 4+ months. I'm in the exact same boat all of you are.
