I've sent 3 emails to sales@aletia.com (which is the correct address to close an account per the FAQ) and I get no response and my credit card continues to get billed. Can anyone tell me how to get my account closed?

Yes, i have had the same problem. I would also like to know how to go about closing an account.
When did you send the email ? If it wasnt recently you should resend it, all inquiries are being answered within 24 hours.
