sleep...?
    ... what's that?

notes about choose a college from me:

know what the school specializes in...
don't go just because of their reputation
visit the school
make sure the majority of the student body likes the school
make sure you like the school (environment, academics)
got the funds?
Of course, I am speaking from personal experience Although I am happy to be here, the academics here just suck all the time I can manage to get without getting much sleep. Although it is significant that you got accepted to a reputable university/institution, the most significant part would be to ask: "can you get out of there with a degree?" just some things for anyone to think about...

    --------------------

anyways... what I want for Christmas is... to do things I like to do like do design work, programming, reading a good book, start/finish personal projects, get good food, see my family, and spend the holiday just relaxing

    talk about geeky!

oh and Connie... let me know what you need help with... not saying I'm totally computer literate... but I've been called a geek couple of times and have gotten used to that word

although I won't have time to do anything until the 15th (Sunday) email me (link below) and I'll try to give you help if I can actually help

Heh. Reminds me of a sig I saw on Slashdot recently (to paraphrase): "A job you love. Making lots of money. Perfectly legal. Pick two."

Cool! Beastie Boys! Been a while since I thought about them.

As for what I want, I'd say rest. Time with friends and family on the right side of the Atlantic who I haven't seen for a year. Seeing snow again.

Oh, and time to install Linux on the new 40GB drive I'm getting for my laptop so that I can finally finish my personal Web site and transfer my old ZX81 programs from tape into p files for a new domain that I just picked up.

I realized I was a geek when I started looking over Thinkgeek.com and discovered there were very few things I didn't want.

So in that vein... their entire catalog. And a car.

    I don't ask for much.

I know, I know. I visited Yale already several times this year. It's my first choice school, but it's a longshot. It's the only school I'm completely infatuated with. I love everything about it.

jkeller: visit your family. you only have it until you lose it. I've already lost mine and it sucks. Go visit. It's Christmas.
