    Autoresponder Gone Crazy?

This is probably an off-the-wall question, but I was wondering...

If you have an autoresponder setup on me@foo.com and you send an email to someone that is gone on vacation that has an autoresponder on them@foo2.com, will there be autoresponder overload?

In other words, by me@foo.com emailing them@foo2.com, their autoresponder will automatically email me back stating they are on vacation, but my autoresponder will email them back with it's message, and back and forth it goes.

Sounds funny but can this actually be a problem?

Yes, actually that can happen . Its crazy but it does happen. We get those sometimes on new orders when clients give an email that has an autoresponder. And until our system is done sending out its messages (about 4 or so) then its an all night responder marathon .

LOL. Actually you can configure this option in your mail server. I know EXIM detects such action.

Maybe so, but CPanel probably breaks it...

We dont use cpanel or exim on our sites. They don't share a server with clients.
