    it's cold :(

The high temperatures are forcasted to be just above 20 and shouts of hooray go out in the building. We've been sub zero for a few days now and it's not nice!

The assistant headmaster is going around the building taking the temperature because it is illegal to have class in sub 60 deg. Fahrenheit temperatures (inside).

This is nutty. Mother nature is being VERY mean!

Any other strange occurrences this winter or just in Boston? Feels like Alaska here

My friend's company has a branch in Boston. He was there all week and he was telling us how cold it was out there.

The funny thing tho was that we booked to go golfing last Sunday. But it was raining I thought for sure they'd cancel out. But NOPE we went out anyway. The funny part was that this guy showed up wearing shorts and a windbreaker that's it. He was totally soaked by the time we finished the 18th hole.

My point. Would you trade sub-zero(C) temps for Wet/Wind/Fog ? It's been raining here in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada since yesterday.

I feel your pain. We've had days like yours where everyone is getting cabin fever. Think Mexico, Hawaii, the Tropics, sand, beaches etc.

Well, the situation here on my city is a little different from yours... In the last days the weather is nice. I can see a lot of sunny days and almost no rain.

Well, up here in Rochester they predicted today's high would be 9. It actually creeped a bit above that to 13, but its supposed to be at 31 this time of year. (Mother nature has dyslexia, I guess... ) The Rochester City School District decided to cancel school for tomorrow because of the cold. I just wish my school would do the same so that I don't have t go in o work tomorrow, but I know they won't.

Anyway, call me crazy, but I'm going camping this weekend! (that's the most insane looking smily I could find)

Let me also add that I can't remember when the last time I didn't have o scrape snow and ice off my truck before leaving my house for work was.

And, for the record, since everyone always thinks Rochester is always cold and snowy all the time, the weather here is not that far off from the weather of most of Massachusetts (which is where I grew up). In fact, Mass winters have actually been a little worse than Rochester's the past several years.

IT has been FREEZING for sooo many days and quite annoying! You're outside for 20 minutes and you get frostbite =/ I buy coffee in the morning and it's cold 15 minutes later.

Rochester has the record for most snow, hehe. 90+ inches I hear they've had this season.

Stop complaining of heat Zac. It's bearable. It's soo cold here I don't want to move. I can't sleep because it's too cold. My bed is on the wall of my room that is on the perimeter of the house so it's FREEZING. I've considered dozing on my couch instead.

Heat is not as bad as cold. I've had to bear 100+ temperatures in a building with 2500 people and no AC, so :P

    YOu're lucky Julian!

We may have the record for the most snow, but there really isn't that much of it on the ground. It comes and then it melts and then the next day even more falls. Lately though it has snowed at least a little bit every day. I can live with snow, though (I'd prefer it to be 70 again, though...), its this cold I'm sick of. When I bought my truck in August, I couldn't wait for the first snow because I wanted to see how well it handled. Now that I've kept in in 4WD every day this week, I'm sick of winter and I wouldn't mind having the heatwave we were having when I bought the truck again. I guess I just can't be happy...

Well, my camping trip this weekend was just cancelled. I'm a little bummed because I was looking forward to it, but its for the best. We had a lot of young kids (I'm a scoutmaster, its a Boy Scout campout) going with us, and its too cold for them. Oh well...

No, it's been IMPOSSIBLE to keep warm in some places even indoors. The basement of school is FREEZING.

THe main reason why I prefer heat over cold is that with cold comes PAIN. my extremities hurt like hell with cold. I can bear heat. It makes me sweaty, my heart beats faster, yada, yada yada, but with cold, I get PAIN.

When i was in america it was wonderful.. was there for two months would spend hours out doors was in Pueblo and when over this really high part apparently the highest mountin with a road through it.. i tryed to climb up a steap incline in the snow and fell in to my knees.. tryed to climb out and much have hit a big hole and fell to my waist.. Now there was a moment i hurt.. I had to dig out with me hands and i didn't have gloves on it hurt to just touch the car door.. other then that I loved every minute out in the snow!!
