Hey I figured Clio would have left the Latin School, graduated from Harvard or Yale or one of those Ivy League type schools and was out in the big bad world making millions by now

I just tried the signature thingey with an img and it didn't show up in my other posts perhaps only on subsequent posts so I guess this one will tell me if it works or not

Nope, still at Latin, which is REALLY messed up right now. Sigh. We're losing a million+ from next year's budget. And to make things worse, a recent incedent has caused extensive hostility between student and faculty, faculty and students, and everyone versus the administration. It's BAD. =/

Hi Clio,

Actually since I grew up in the 60's the conflicts going on in your school seem normal to me.

Although the causes may have been different at your school Clio, I find myself watching the student war protests with interest and a definite sense of deja vu. Regardless of whether today's youth back the administration or are adamently against the war, I take pride in those youth who are vocal and stand up and make their position known. That is what America is all about and anyone that calls them unamerican does not comprehend America, it's values and should look to themselves when using labels such as that.

JUST REMEMBER CLIO WHATEVER THE DIFFICULTIES ARE - THEY TOO SHALL PASS!

As for the falling out between students and the school administration, I think that is kind of a natural occurrence as as each generation approaches adulthood and to an extent declares their independence and their right to look at things differently from the indoctrination laid on them by a prior generation. I think it's healthy and natural - although can be difficult to adjust to for both sides.

Anyway good luck in your academic endeavors - there will be tangents but as long as you keep your goals in mind you will be fine.
