This is a discussion on New Aletia Site looks superb! in the Open Discussion & Chit-chat forum
I love the new Aletia site. It looks even better than before. The only flaw I found is the manual is not online. Good luck ...

    New Aletia Site looks superb!

Good luck with the Jaguar redesign. If it looks half that good it will be an improvement.

It is readable. When I was looking for web hosting it surprised me how many sites sacrified readability for a 'pretty' design: text was too light, menu bars had too little contrast.

While the music sounds fine I tend to close the browser window the moment I hit a site that plays music (I usually have a CD in the PC).

I'm emphatically not impressed with the sound and animation... and the sound especially. It doesn't add anything to the site, it *does* interrupt whatever else you might be listening to at the time. I'd suggest ditching both, but the noise at the very least. If it doesn't actually contribute to the site, increases download times and might irritate people... it's probably not a good idea.

The text/background contrast in some places is slightly lacking. The hosting plans chart and the sidebar, that sort of thing. It's readable, but would be moreso if the text were somewhat darker.

The font used on the buttons is very trendy, I realize, but there are more readable things in the world than that.

The color scheme overall is decent, though, and the layout seems good.

Aside from the flash bit, it's a nice clean design. One other thing that I noticed while using a color theme under Windows is that the site doesn't have a set bgcolor, so if I have a dark blue color theme, your background is also darkblue. Kind of messy.

I removed the flash plugin from my primary browser because I felt it has become overly annoying lately. Mostly due to it being used in new advertising but also because it's become boring with the same effects and useless placement.

Maybe have a detection for non-flash browsers...
