    To Stop The Bot Spammer

    @JPC staff:

    To stop the spamming bot, what you must do is install the newest version of vBulletin 2.3.0 RC3, which includes image verification upon registration. This should stop the bots abilities of signing up. Even though it's an RC, I'd highly recommend moving to it to be rid of this spamming bot once and for all.

    Since it appears that you have hacks installed, you would need to merge the hacks into the new 2.3.0 RC3 files. You could use Araxis Merge (http://www.araxis.com) to do this, or you could reinstall them yourself. Furthermore, I could even do the file mergers if you so wished.

    Anyway, I just highly recommend this upgrade.

    I think another way to prevent the spam bot to sign up on the forums, is to make a custom userfield and mark it as required, so the bot will be unable to signup because it won't know how to fill the required field

    Other admins said they did that, but it somehow found a way to bypass it.

    Ah, now that's more like it.

    EDIT: But image verification is off.... @_@ It kinda eliminates the point of upgrading. :P
