What editor are you running? I use Paint Shop Pro 7...

    Hi Flipdoubt,

What you want is MICROANGELO v5.5

MICROANGELO v5.5 comes with the studio program which allows you to make your icons in 16x16, 32x32, 48x48 or custom size and 16, 256 or true color real easy to use and the program comes with a librarian which already contains tons of icon libraries that you can use or modify and also explorer which will seek out all the files on your system that have icons in them. This program by it's nature will teach you all there is about icons and is far superior to anything on the market.

You can download a free 21 day trial version of the program from here:

    http://www.microangelo.us/

It's not the cheapest for sure $39.00 deluxe package and if you want it with the on display feature (just makes some things easier that can usually be done otherwise) it's $54.00

But when it comes to icons this is the top of the line

Matter of fact I created one to show you in about 2 minutes but unfortunately although neon is finally back up - I can't ftp anything in either direction - doesn't recognize any passwords anymore - oh well - if it starts working in the very near future (I hope so) I'll place it here.

Icons are dead easy for me. I just tell my daughter what I want. She uses Microangelo so I will have to second that recommendation.
