    Apple's Future in 10 years

I posted this poll on a Mac-centric forum and would like to compare the Mac fan's view compared to other views.

Although simple market share will mean the poll here will be more PC biased, I figure that those using JAG's forums are much more familiar with computer technology than the average user and much more likely to be familiar with multiple OS platforms, e.g. Windows, Unix, Linux, FreeBSD, Apple's OS X, NeXT, BeOS, etc.

    So few votes ???

I posted the same poll on another of my hosts' forums (DATHORN.COM) and got a lot more interest although not nearly as much as on one of the MAC-oriented forums.

I just don't know enough about the current Apple situation to even guess at the future.

There was a time when I kept reletively current with the entire market situation, I read all the magazines, read all the websites and could happily make an educated prediction on the future. However it got too time consuming, cost too much in mag subscriptions and I realised I could get by day to day without having all that knowledge.

    Where's the 'Chapter 7' choice?

They already filed for 'Chapter 13.'

If it counts for anything I believe that Apple has been improving ever so slowly over time... but I still wouldnt touch an Apple computer again if my life depended on it.

I hate them and everything they offer. I only own one mac running OSX to power my Pro Tools production studio. I would run it from a PC if my setup didn't come with things *only* for a mac..

While I've found it to be very stable in this dedacated enviroment, it's far from perfect. It's mad slow and wants to b**ch at everything I do..

Hard to say, so I haven't voted yet. Apple sometimes seems to run off their own buzz. I know what I'd like to see, but that's probably not in line with Apple's corporate vision. Some kind of internal shakeup does seem likely.

Is this the lost post you mean S.S.? Weird that the Apple poll was duplicated there too. On an ancient thread to boot.
