Arrow New Personal Best --- 6608 Spams Received in June

... I should hit 10,000 spams a month by Christmas at this rate...

    Anyone got that beat?

EDIT: BTW, I'm empting the spams in my 'Deleted Items Folder' right now. Windows has been working on it for about 10 minutes and it still isn't done --- 14462 spams that accumulated over the last couple of months.

Red face 14,000 in less than a month!

That's bounced spam-not actually sent to me, just returned to the domain via a spoofed return address.
If those 6000+ were sent to you directly, you are definitely their favorite. See my other post.

    Vin,

In another post you reported that you were SPAM free. (Sorry
I'm not going to spend hours looking for a link, and I don't
have your memory to find it quickly)

What Happened? In a short period of time you went from virtually
0 SPAM to hold the record for SPAM RECEIVED.

Hrm... I've been taking a lot for granted lately. I guess I need to spell everything out. This happens from time-to-time with me. It's my fault.

Okay --- to refresh --- I have instituted a system by which all my spam goes to a folder called 'spam.' That is, I still get spam, and lots of it, but instead of clogging my 'in box', it automatically goes to my 'spam box'. This system has cut down the spam in my 'in box' to practically '0'.

Anyway, my 'spam box' is up to 6428 as we 'speak'...

Sorry, I may have misunderstand your original post on the issue.

I only receive 30 or so SPAMS per day. I delete them from the
server before downloading e-mail. It is a pain but at least I
don't have that junk on my machine. It would be great if I had
the knowledge to filter all SPAM into a single folder. Alas that
day may come but not in the foreseeable future.

Way back then I registered several domain names using my regular email account as the contact email and got into some busy spam lists, clocking about 30~40 a day. Thank god 99% gets spam assassinated.

The email I used on my last two registrations do not get any spam at all, abuse@sillypages.com. It looks like spammers know to stay clear of those

    Exclamation OUTLOOK MEETS IT MATCH

LoL! Well, I let the spams go a little too long (about 6 weeks) and Outlook locked up tonight - took me about a 1/2 hour and numerous tries to delete them - 16352 to be exact. I know you probably think I'm exaggerating. Here's a pic:
    This is getting rediculous...

Same thing with me unfortunately. Even with MailWasher and all sorts of filters, spam mails will always find a way to flood my inbox. Therefore, I was forced to abandon my main POP3 account and switch to a new one. I will try to reactivate the old account in a few months to see whether it got deleted from spam lists.

what I hate is that now my spam filter takes almost everything as spam, so for the few emails I get that are legitimate, I have to browse the spam box anyway...

Well, I've just about had it with eMail. Please tell me it's not just me. Misery loves company...

I left Outlook running today, while I was at work, just like I always do, downloading new messages every 10 minutes, yada, yada, yada. Nothing extraordinary. You probably do the same.

When I got home I had 2924 emails in my inbox - all spam. This is getting ridulous. I'm thinking about completely turning off my email and telling ppl to use the feedback function on my web site if they want to get ahold of me, or PM.

Anybody else get the volume of spam that I do?

I looked up my 'nick' on Google. It appears on 10,900 pages. There are almost as many linkbacks to my site according to AlltheWeb. Is this the problem?
