    Question Mail problem, please help!!!

Since yesterday I'm having a problem, I'm receveing hundreds of e-mails with subjects like:

    "Re: That movie"
    "Re: My Details"
    "Re: Thank you"
    (and others)

The body is the same on all of them and says: "Please see the attached file for details" although there are no attachments on them.
They are all from e-mail addresses I don't know and don't have saved on my computer. They are sent by this people to two of my different fowarder e-mails.

    This is the mail header:

If you know something about this stuff please help me to solve it.
Do you think I should open a support ticket on JaguarPc?

    Thank you very much.

Well, Jag isn't going to be able to help you, because these are messages that are coming to you from the net. There is a new virus that is circulating now, W32/Sobig.f@MM, which havests email addresses from many places on an infected machine's hard drive and startes sending itself out. You are receiving these messages from someone infected with this virus.

If you can figure out who is sending these things to you, you might want to contact them and inform them that they've got the virus. However, the virus spoofs the sender address with one found on the attacker's machine, so it could be nearly impossible to figure out who you're getting them from.

Like all viruses, this will will probably go away in a few days as people start to update their virus scanners. Make sure yours is up to date so that you don't accidentally infect yourself with one of these messages (you actually have to run an attached file to infect yourself, so as long as you don't open the attachments, you need not be worried). As an at-least temporary solution, you could set up spam filters in cpanel for the subjects that you're seeing in these messages, but, as you can see from the link, there are a lot of them, and it may not be worth the time.

Thanks for your help. I'll wait a couple of days for the problem to get solved.

    Thanks again.
