error 1040 - Too many connections

My site http://www.undeadtv.com/testsite/ is throwing 'Error 1040 - Too many connections'. Also, in my control panel I cannot connect at all to the MySQL stuff (it's throwing 1040 errors there too). My site is on xenon.nocdirect.com, is anyone else getting this error with their sites?

I opened a ticket over an hour ago and have heard nada.

Until the next time, this seems to be happening every few weeks. On Xenon anyway.

probally another User has a bad script that is just opening up connections right and left

Just one more disadvantage of the shared envirment we all have to live with, that is unless we want to pay $100+++++ per month for a dedicated sever

Aye, but it's annoying. And when I asked if there were any ideas as to a more structural solution I was advised to make backups... not exactly reassuring. And yeah, it may be a disadvantage of shared hosting, but MySQL p00fing a couple of times a month can't be acceptable either imho.

    No it is not,

Document Dates and times, and Keep on Support,

I dont wee why the only advice they gave qwas to make backups

any offending users causing the server to crash should have (and normally does) the account suspened, or the scipt isolated and rendered usless until a solution is figuired out...

but you should make regualr backs up regardless

XtremeCarAudio: I'm sure they did suspend whichever account was causing the problem this time, there just seem to be more users causing havoc these days.
Ah yeah, I did comment to them about their backup advice, to which I got the reply to consider upgrading to dedicated or semi-dedicated. Which is a fair enough answer, but the cheapest semi-dedicated plan is $54.95, quite a bit more than what I'm paying now. Seems a bit overkill just to improve uptime (yeah, I know most of the time the server isn't really down, but if one or more services are b0rked which render my site b0rked, it's p00f in my book), I'm only doing an average 1500 uniques a day with 4GB of monthly traffic. Ah well, we'll see.
And ofcourse I make regular backups
It's the thought of having to restore regularly I don't like *grins*
