Regarding the shopping around, I personally believe that you have found the right place here. Is everthing 100% perfect at any given time? No. But they really try hard to do the right thing and keep satisfied customers. I personally have been in the IT business for almost 30 years and have dealt with several "web hosting" companies, but Jag for sure is one of the most reliable ones and imho the one that appreciates your business most. Plus they have great people in the team.
Regarding the "learn Linux", there are great books available and if you get your VPS, simply create a sandbox account with Shell access. As long as you do not log in with "root", you cannot screw up too much.

Have fun with your VPS and don't be shy asking questions here in the forum - there are many great users that always are happy to help.

Thanks for your time to write, although myself not IT, but you have excellent point. Yeah, as root access is dangerous. I know basic Linux command-line and prefer learn from online not by books, if Managed VPS not fit for me, maybe I should go Reseller, I know it not have root access, at least, it can be good start for my future online business. and I wish you have good luck!
