    Problem SMTP

    Hi.
    I have problem.

    Outlook message:

    The connection to the server has failed. Account: "myserver.com", Server: "myserver.com", Protocol: SMTP, port 25, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10061, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

    I'm not sure, but I don't think the servers support SSL over SMTP. Even if they do, you probably won't be able to use your own domain name (unless you have your own certificate) because certs are assigned to a domain name and not to a server. If you really want to use SSL, try using the "generic" server address that's listed for your server on the network status page. It will be something like secure#.u-build-it.net or secure#.nocdirect.com.

    Thanks. But I do not want to use SSL. At me letters through my post server are not sent. I changed nothing in options of mail for my server. Whether I at all do not know there are there such options. But letters have ceased to be sent. And the post program gives out such message.

    I am sorry for not the competent text. I use the automatic translator.

    The only way I've ever gotten it to work using the mail client in Mozilla and sending mail through serialpurrs.org (My domain) is to tell it to use SSL whenever possible.
