cant connect to my database

hi everybody.

i cant open my site ( www.cg-dream.com ). i dont know why, and it's happened alot with me.

i cant connect to my SQL databasee.

someone check it and tell what he found.

I can load your website, the forum (No posts there though), but I'm not sure if anything else is supposed to show up.

On the index I see two messages, one named test and one named welcome to IPB

What I see are forums that are empty of posts, except for a few under general discussions that were posted in the last couple of days.

Not my area of expertise, sorry. Sounds like a support ticket matter though. A wild guess would be a full tmp folder or something on the server. I expect the techs have seen similar stuff before. I know I've seen errors like that in the Jaguar forums in the past, but not lately.

I might add it did take longer than expected to load the site initially, even with a fast connection. So maybe some timeouts are at play somewhere. Once in, things seemed to load quickly enough.

Those are socket errors. That means your site isn't connecting to the MySQL server. It's usually caused by too many open queries and the server is 'hung', or more likely a corrupt or missing sym link. There is nothing you can do about this except contact tech support via the ticket system and have them fix it. Happens to me all the time.

The worst thing you can do is sit around and wait for the connection to magically reappear. That can take hours. This problem often goes undetected by the techies. Somebody has to say something, and that's usually me on 'our' server. In my experience, if you put a ticket in, it's taken care of in 15 minutes or less...
