Can someone tell us, if we have also registered our domain name at Aletia, how we need to update our NIC records? Do we even need to do this or is this done by Aletia?

If you are refering to the IP changes that Jag notified us about, there is nothing you'll need to do. When the name servers' IP's are changed, the chages will occur on your account automatically. Most registrars link your name to DNS servers by name, not address, so they'll stay linked when JPC makes the switch. No need to worry.
If you need to change anything else (change your address, etc.) you can do it at aletia.com.

You should have an aletianic.com user account that will let you change your nic details and name servers. We do set the name servers to our own if you by a domain through us when you order hosting.
If you find that is not the case or you do not know your aletianic.com user account, you can go there and register a free user account. Then contact us with your domain name, and your new aletianic user name. We will make sure the details match up in our backend and then push the domain under your aletianic user for you to manage.

When we tried to *push* the domain name to our new account, the reply was that he could not find the domain name. We ordered a domain name at Aletiahosting when we also applied for a website. So I am a bit confused (or maybe dumb!): what are we doing wrong?!?
