Complete lack of knowledge, please help!

I am trying to create a database and a way to manage it similar to http://www.roempire.com - If anyone an help me with this I would be so very happy, I dont know how to do things like that, I wanted it so that I could enter items and what not into the database and then on the site people can choose to list all the items, just the swords, just the swords for a specific race and bam they would pop up! But I seem to be havying no luck figuring it all out. If someone could help me please e-mail me at admin@finalfantasyunleashed.com as I would be ever so grateful!

The site you refered to is run by a Content Managment System (CMS). It's entirely database driven and MUCH easier to maintain than your static site. Some of the most common CMS' are PHPNuke, PostNuke, and PHPWebsite (my favorite). Your lack of coding ability will make it seem very difficult to modify these to suit your needs, but they're really very easy. The CMS also handles your membership database and login functions for you.

If you want to do this kind of stuff to your site, come over to NukeCops.com and putz around. It's a steep learning curve at first, but it's better than playing those online games.
