Hi,

I've got a local setup of the PEAR web installer (protected from outside access with .htaccess), and it works fine, but it's REALLY slow, much slower than anything else. I wonder if anyone else has a successful local PEAR installation there that isn't gawdawfully slow (I get 5-8 minutes just on the listing of packages, this is supposed to be a T3 or something, right?)
