    Can't upload anonymous

I'm trying to allow user Anonymous to upload in the public_ftp/incoming directory. I checked the boxes in control panel which say to allow anonymous to upload to this directory. I keep getting "Anonymous cannot overwrite existing file" message. I am not trying to overwrite a file because no files currently exist in the public_ftp/incoming directory.

I'm getting the same thing. Support's response:

The FTP software on the server was recently changed to PureFTP to ensure faster FTP access to clients since many users were haviong problems with the earlier software. The pureftp software doesn't seem to support upload for anonymous FTP

    Maybe they can reconfigure???

Same problem here!!! I thought I was going nuts.

I need to have an ability to allow users to upload files from their (99% or the time) PCs to a directory that is inaccessible to be downloaded. Anybody have a suggestion? Any secure PHP apps out there to do this?

OK, I told someone to send me e-mails instead yesterday, but I don't really think it's the way to go for multi-MB stuff..

Any word on this feature returning? Did anyone put in a ticket asking for its return yet and / or do some digging on configuring PureFTP?

Not me. Figured I'd have to live with it. I guess I'm happy for the greater good that came with the new prog.
