Network Status Page Mystery

First I'd like to apologise to Susy for going over her head and appealing to Jag here.

I've noticed that every single time there is a problem with Falcon shown on the network status pages Neo exactly mirrors it (on the status page). So if mysql is down on Falcon, it's down on Neo, if httpd, mail and ftp is down on Falcon then every time Neo shows the same.

It always appears that way when there is a problem with Falcon and I couldn't accept that it was just a coincidence. So I assumed that the status page was incorrectly configured and instead of probing Neo it is actually probing Falcon twice. I submitted a ticket about the issue but Susy said I was wrong, so I assumed it was just a coincidence and let it go.

However Falcon is down, so I checked the Status page and yet again Neo is shown as down too. This can't be a coincidence ..... !??

There was a mistake in the script and it has been fixed. Thanks for pointing this out.

To be fair Susy had acess do a different script which was correct and she wasnt informed of this change.

Glad it's fixed.

I wasn't having a go at anyone, it's just that things can go round in circles on the ticket system if there is a misunderstanding
