Client Domain Hosted - Still not showing up

Ok I'm stuck, I've signed up a client's domain/site with Jaguar on December 11th, I've checked whois and the DNS is pointed correctly to Jaguar's servers but I the site is still now showing up using the domain name or the IP address and I can't even access the client area using the username and password that were given when I signed up for hosting to pull a support ticket... what gives... please help.

    URL REMOVED

    Ticket System - Form Email

This one also pisses me off... just tried to send a support email to support@jaguarpc.com and get the "Form Email" about not sending direct emails but to use the Ticket System because direct emails are being phased out... if so, that's a huge mistake. If I can't login with the username and password to pull a ticket, how the heck am I suppose to get through to support using the ticket system.

Email support was phased out shortly after I started hosting here, over three years ago. Tickets are the way to go now, but no good to you if your password doesn't work. Try PM'ing Jag (or emailing admin@jaguarpc.com) or emailing sales@jaguarpc.com to get access. Note that sales isn't open on weekends, so you probably won't get a response from them until Monday. Jag may be the way to go right now. He'll probably want to know the domain name, your name, and the last 4 digits of the credit card you paid with, so sending him that in your first email will get things resolved faster.

As for the domain name, its working fine for me. How long ago was it set up? Did you move it from another host or is it a brand new registration? If it was moved your ISP may have the zone records cached in there DNS servers, causing them to try and send you to the old host. The cache should expire in another day or two. If your old host was your ISP they may not have removed the zone files from their DNS server at all, in which case the domain will always try to resolve to the old server. If this is the case, contact them and ask them to delete it.

Good luck getting it straightened out.

    Bingo!

I used to have an ISP that updated his zone records every week or two, or whenever he got around to it. My ISP was actually a guy that ran a computer repair/pet supply store. He had the only T1 line in town. He was the only ISP. All the users were on dialup. You get the idea?

Anyway, the way I discovered all this was by flying off the handle at my webhost, my registrar and everyone else involved, just like LisaA is doing. I'd make a change, everyone said it was working fine for them, I would get madder and madder, blah, blah, blah. That's when I started using proxy servers to check my website, and guess what? They were right! Everything was okay. My website was there, but the zone records at my ISP hadn't changed.

This is what I suggest YOU do, LisaA. Here's the proxy I use. It's free for limited useage. Look up your site on it and see what you get...

    Thanks everyone

Yep it's working fine now. Jaguar sent me an email. Must have just taken longer than usual for the DNS change to show up.

Jaguar's support reply was great as usual. I'm actually an Aleita original customer and made the transition with Jaguar.

I've got to say that although I was ready to leave in the beginning when the Aleita/Jaguar transition was taking place and everything was crazy but they've made it through and now provide superior support with little downtime. I'm very happy with Jaguar's support and have just about all of my customer's host here.

    Thanks JaguarPC
