v200 plan - Static IP or not?

Someone knows the answer? Tech said no, but friend with v200 has one, without paying something extra.

It used to be that all of the plans except for the lowest priced one (now that would be the v100, but its been called different things over the years) came with dedicated IP's. A month or so ago JAg announced that they may discontinue that practice because of increasing costs. These days, for the most part, having a dedicated IP is not essential to running your site, and mony hosts don't even offer them as an option.

I don't recall hearing that JPC had changed their policy, but they may have. I have a v200 plan myself and I have a dedicated IP with it, but I've been here for a long time, so I'm grandfathered according to Jag's posts on the topic. New signups may now have to start paying extra.
