Hopefully ever thing has been taken care of by now. If not you need to Log
into the Clients section, check the network status page to see if the site
is up or down. If it shows to be up you should submit a ticket through the
ticket system. Support only occasionally checks the forums.
It would also be helpful if you had included a link to your web site.
so others could try to access your site. It is possible that the problem is on
your end.

well, it's me againsorry to disturb.
I logged into my support system and see http status:
Penguin
https://secure37.nocdirect.com/~username/ 69.73.160.206( "down" img )
It means server has problem with http service?
Another problem is:
My DNS is:
NS.JAGUARPC.NET
NS2.JAGUARPC.NET
is it correct after jaguarpc changed IPs ( true difficult to
understand for me)
Have I set up new DNS to
ns.nocdirect.com
ns2.nocdirect.com ??
Thx for whatever comment.
A few things here...
Yes, JagPC changed the IP numbers recently. Notices and discussions are posted on this web board ad nauseum. If you want to read about these changes, do a 'search.' Basically, the reason they did this was to allow JagPC to switch THEIR service provider[s] more easily in the future. The block of IP's they were using forced them to use the services of a single provider whom I believe JagPC wishes to replace in the future, if they haven't done so already, e.g. it is a good thing for both 'them' and 'us'...
Secondly, looking at your web site, I would judge that most likely you experienced a MySQL failure, causing your site to go down. This is just a guess, based on my own experience[s] here. This is usually caused by too many open queries, a corrupt or missing symlink, an erased socket file, and so forth, none of which YOU have any control over or can do anything about. When these things happen, YOU need to contact tech support VIA THE TICKET SYSTEM . Don't wait for your site to return on its' own. Many times, tech support is NOT even aware there is a problem until someone contacts them. There seems to be a chink in the sql monitoring capabilities at JagPC. The way to deal with it, as a client, is to contact tech support directly, not leave messages on this web board.
Lastly, your NS records reside on "ns.nocdirect.com" and "ns2.nocdirect.com", not "NS.JAGUARPC.NET" and "NS2.JAGUARPC.NET". That is where the DNS server numbers should be pointed, at your domain name registrar. This will usually resolve many problems here, once again, based on my experience[s].
Good luck!

I still not see any different for these tests
I was not angry to jaguarpc, i tolerate downtimes
in interval 1-2 minutes (it happended some times),
but 5h is so much! it was the first time i had such
serious problem with Jag.
Well, now my sites are backhappyly.
I still trust Jaguarpc, I lost 1 month to find hosting service!!!
Vin DSL, i will visit your site more often, I need something
with phpNuke.
VIn,
A quick question. You have told people in several post to change their name servers.
This is a copy and past from the clients area.
ns.jaguarpc.net
ns2.jaguarpc.net
ns3.jaguarpc.net
ns4.jaguarpc.net
ns5.jaguarpc.net
ns6.jaguarpc.net
ns.nocdirect.com
ns2.nocdirect.com
ns.u-build-it.net
ns2.u-build-it.net
ns1.aletia.com
ns2.aletia.com
ns1.aletia.net
ns2.aletia.net
ns1.nocdns.com
ns2.nocdns.com
All my name severs are set to:
ns.jaguarpc.net
ns2.jaguarpc.net
ns3.jaguarpc.net
ns4.jaguarpc.net
ns5.jaguarpc.net
ns6.jaguarpc.net
I don't think Jag has ever told a client they needed to change
name servers due to the recent IP changes.
I don't have any problem with the original name servers. Why do you think
it is better to change to:
ns.nocdirect.com
ns2.nocdirect.com
Just curious.

I haven't done any testing, but from the sounds of things here, the nocdirect.com pair seems to be the primary nameservers for JPC (where all of the updates are made). The rest use replicated data from the those two, so using the nocdirect pair would normally mean that changes would propagate faster.
Personally I am using the ns*.jaguarpc.net servers, at least two of them anyway, on all of my domain names and I haven't seen any problems. As I see it, if it ain't broke, don't try to fix it.

If you look around, Connie, you will find that I used to recommend that ppl list the 6 'jaguarpc.net' as their DNS server set. The reason I did this was because, when I first started hosting here, 'ns.jaguarpc.net' and/or 'ns2.jaguarpc.net' seemed to always be 'down' which, of course, caused my site to the 'down'. This was solved, for the most part, by using the 6 DNS servers listed above.Originally posted by clssam

However, at someone's recommendation (I'm sure they will pop in here) and after checking out the situation thoroughly, I discovered that the NS records actually reside on 'ns.nocdirect.com' and 'ns2.nocdirect.com'. All the rest of those supposed DNS servers are poppycock.
Everyone has a different situation. The best way to figure out what your true DNS server numbers are, is to do a dig. However, the tests at CheckDNS.net do a good job of revealing this also.
To be fair to JagPC, they are NOT trying to pull any fast ones here. I assume that things must have gotten pretty crazy with all the acquisitions, and so forth, and for the sake of making things work, they added all these 'child' servers. Alternately, does it make any sense that 'they' actually have 20 or 30 (whatever) name servers here? Come on...
Like jason said, if it ain't broke, don't fix it, but mine was 'broke' from time-to-time, so I fixed it. I would suggest that many others are in the same situation, so when I see this situation crop up, I point it out.![]()
